Durability on lamps is a discussion that never dies. 

Parts4Pinballs is piloting a project where we are offering a version of the #44 lamp where the filament is thicker than normal. This increases the durability quite a bit, but each lamp will draw more current than normal because of the filament thickness.

So try it out on hard to get to places, and maybe in your pop bumpers. But do not use it everywhere unless you are addicted to soldering ;-)
